Who we’ve helped

Over more than 22 years, your gifts have reached families in Montréal and Ottawa, students and young people in Israel, and Jewish communities from California to Russia. Here is some of that work.

At home in Canada

Our own programs, run by our volunteers.

  • Families who need clothing

Through Maxy’s Warehouse, Vivi’s Unique Boutique, families receive good-quality clothing at no charge, donated by neighbours who have outgrown or moved on from it.

  • Households starting over

Donated furniture, appliances and household items go to people going through hard times, at little or no cost. The program has been running steadily for years and is busy today.

  • Families before the holidays

Food, clothing and shoes before Pesach and the Yomim Tovim, and challah and matzah delivered to people’s doors during the Covid-19 lockdowns.

How we give

We work with every partner organization under a written agreement. They keep records and receipts for how funds are used, and we can review them at any time. Donors are welcome to suggest where their gift should go; the charity makes the final decision.
